He was born April 27, 1906 in Elmo to William James and Laura Darcus Cramer Atwood. He married Rosetta E. Mills, who died in 1984. He later married LaVerne Chidester in 1986. He was a member of the LDS Church.
He is survived by his wife, of Price; children, Anna Bell Holdaway Jensen and Mrs. Chester (Donna) Hall, bot of Price; James Atwood, Elmo; Marvis L. Atwood, Kansas; and Laura Carter, Ariz.; 28 grandchildren; and 41 great-grandchildren. Also survived by brothers, Clemont and Melrose Atwood, both of Wellington.
Funeral services were held Wednesday in the Huntington Stake Center. Burial was in the Cleveland Cemetery.
