'My grandfather died when I was 9 years old and lived in Utah so I didn't get to know him as well. We loved to go to Utah to visit with him. We felt loved by him and Grandma Emmertson. He seemed to have some smoking habits that I think made him feel bad. He did ultimately die of lung cancer. I know that he loved to create things in his shop. I think mostly wood crafted things. I know he loved baseball and played it when my mother was young for fun. I know that he worked hard and had many responsible positions in business. He worked for Standard Oil which is now Chevron and invested in stock that has been carried down to his children and grandchildren and been a blessing and a cherished statement of his ability to save and bless their lives.'
