'Grandma Emmertson was a good woman. She loved us all 'equally', and pretty much she wouldn't do for one that she didnt do for everyone. She was always concerned about that. She was not a huggie mushy grandma, more of a tough cookie who didn't say Yes right away. She often said no and then thought about it and changed her mind. Just like my mom :) In her younger years she was a dancer and I loved that about her. I know that having babies was very difficult for her and it is a miracle she survived all three. She didn't attend church much while my mom was growing up, but she did return later when she was older and grandpa ha passed. She received the blessings of the temple for herself and sealed her family together. She was a great pen pal (unless she corrected your grammar and spelling :)) and she was a good listener. She would come down to CA for a week at least once a year and that was a fun time to have her there close. She was a dilligent saver and careful with her money and I think we learned that from her as well.'
