Ifølge dødsannoncen for hendes far i den lokale avis 'The News Palladium', fredag d. 9. februar 1934 var hun anført som Mrs. Mildred Benning. Hun er altså blevet gift.

I februar 1934 da hendes far døde var hun gift og hed Mrs. Benning. I hendes nekrolog står det anført at hun efterlader sig en halvbror og en stedmoder, så det tyder på at hun ikke efterlader sig nogen børn eller mand.

Mrs. Benning Supervirsor of Nurses, Dies
Mrs. Midred R. benning, 63, 1189 Union Street, Benton Harbor, died at 10 a.m. Friday in Borgess Hospital, Kalamazoo, where she had been a patient since July 14.
Mrs. Benning was born in Berrin County on Dec. 14, 1905. She had been a registered nurse at Mercy Hospital and most recently was a supervisor of nurses at Memorial Hospital, St. Joseph.
Survivingare a half-brother, Robert Christianson of Hartford and fer step-mother, Mrs. R. Peter Christianson of Benton Harbor.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 10 a.m. in the Kerlikowske and Starks Funeral Home. The Rev. Marvin Hartman, pastor of the Niles Avenue Church of God, will officiate. Burial will be in Crystal Springs Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 until 4 p.m. and 7 until 9 p.m. Sunday. The family has suggested memorials may be made to St. Joseph Memorial Hospital.
