Dick Voegeli was born on Augst 4, 1936 in Hudson, South Dakota to Erwin and Mrytle (Christensen) Voegeli. He entered into death on May 18, 2001 at the Good Samaritan Lutheran Manor in Sioux Falls, SD at the age of 64 years, nine months and 18 days.

His baptism was performed at Zion Evangelical United Brethren Church of Beresford and his confirmation was performed at the Beaver Valley Lutheran Church of rural Valley Springs. Dick graduated fromBrandon High School in 1954. On June 14, 1955 he was married to Sharon Thompson. Dick and Sharon were married for forty-six years and were blessed with four children.

At the age of 40, Dick went back to college to Milford Technical School and graduated with honors. He worked in the field of Tool and Die Technology in Omaha, Nebraska until he retired in 1996. Dick and Sharon then moved back to Beresford and attended the Zion United Methodist Church where he served as Trustee. During his long illness, Dick gave his heart to the Lord and desired the same for each of you.

His parents and one sister preceded Dick in death. Among those who survive and gratefully shared his life are his loving wife, two daughters, two sons,six grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

The family requests that memorial expressions of sympathy are placed toward the Bell Fund for the Zion United Methodist church of Beresford.

Interment will be in Zion Methodist Cemetery, rural Beresford, South Dakota.
