Note s: Private First Class Lund was a member of Company I, 3rd Battalion, 5th Marines, 1st Marine Division. He was seriously wounded while fighting the enemy in North Korea and died of those woundson December 3, 1950 aboard a Naval hospital ship USS CONSOLATION (AH-15). Private First Class Lund was awarded the Purple Heart, the Combat Action Ribbon, the Korean Service Medal, the United NationsService Medal, the National Defense Service Medal and the Korean War Service Medal.
