From cousin Grant Sorensen in The Sorensen Family book:
Jens Rahr Muxoll was a merchant for the 'Royal Danish Icelandic Trading Co.' and was born in Grindavik, Iceland. Two of his sons were nobilitated in the early 1800's and were Major Generals when they died. On 11 August 1802 a passport was issued for Jen's father and family to sail from Iceland to Copenhagen. Originally, three or so generations back, the Muxolls came from Holland.
