Raymond Wells, 70, KCMO, passed away March 5, 2005, at the University of KS Medical Center. Graveside services 12 p.m. Tues., March 8 at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Gladstone, MO. Family will receive friends 11 a.m. until service time at D.W. Newcomer's Sons White Chapel, 6600 NE Antioch Rd.

Raymond was born Sept. 9, 1934, in Sarcoxie, Mo. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and Army. Raymond owned and operated Ray's Lumber Yard in Independence, Mo. He married Rosalie Hansen Wells, she survives of the home.
Other survivors include a daughter, Maj. Dixie Manroe, Columbus, Ind.; a son, Charles William Sharp, Excelsior Springs, Mo.; a brother, Orrin Wells, Lawson, Mo.; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
