CHERRYVALE - Margaret Marie Hansen, 79, of Cherryvale died at 2:20 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 4, 2003, at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center.
She was born Nov. 19, 1923, at Brosley, Mo., to Charles Arthur and Lectie (Eaton) Merritt.
She married William G. Hansen on April 10, 1948, at Archie, Mo. He preceded her in death in 1984.
She worked at IMCO Container Co. in Kansas City, Mo., for 11 1/2 years and at the Halfway Restaurant in Archie for 25 years.
She enjoyed quilting and doing crafts.
She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary in Adrian, Mo.
Survivors include three sons, William Hansen of Portland, Ore., and Andrew and Edward Hansen, both of Archie; three daughters, Tony Winchester of Van Buren, Mo., Gallie Rohm of Deatsville, Ala., and Linda Gus of Adrian; two brothers, Reuben Johnson of Broomfield, Mo., and O.R. Johnson of Cherryvale; two sisters, Geneva Colburn of Doniphan, Mo., and Mildred Kempsty of Detroit; 21 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by one brother, two sisters and two grandchildren.
A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Crescent Hill Cemetery, Bates County, Mo., under the direction of Potts Chapel of Cherryvale.
