John Krogh
Cedar Falls - Services for John Krogh, 88, of 1703 Olive St., will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Nazareth Lutheran Church, with burial in Greenwood Cemetery.
Mr. Krogh died Thursday afternoon of a heart attack at Sartori Memorial Hospital.
He was born April 3, 1889, in Dike, son of Jens and Anne Marie Johansen Krogh. He married Hedvig Nielsen Feb. 25, 1908, in Cedar Falls. She died in 1964. On June 20, 1965, he married Jo Graves at Nashua.
He farmed in the Cedar Falls area for many years and was owned and operator of Longview Dairy. He served as a city councilman for 18 years and was mayor pro tem for one year.
Survivors include his wife. Memorials may be given to the Christian Crusaders. Friends may call at Nottger-Erickson Funeral Home until 9 p.m. Sunday, and until 10:30 a.m. Monday. Visitation at the church will be from 11 a.m. Monday.
