Notater: Hans eller måske snarere Johan eller Johannes Griebel var far til Cathrine Griebels, men derudover
vides intet om ham.
Navnet Griebel eller Griebels er åbenbart ikke helt ualmindeligt i Holsten, se følgende kopi af mail:

and Aero some days before. Congratulations to your great work! Of course I am looking for my ancestors;
a lot of them have the name Griebel' and they are coming from Holstein (e.g. Lütjenburg). Google helped
me to get to your website by looking for theese words (Griebel + Lütjenburg) and I was excited to read
about Cathrine Griebel and Herzog Christian.
First I found only' your site in danish and I am not able to understand it but now I get the english
translatet articls and I am very happy. Thank you so much for your work.
Of course I wrote something about it on my very familiar website. It would be nice, if you will be my
guest: There is a link on first side, directly to Aero'. And of course a
link to your side, with my thanks to the owner.
I am not sure if Cathrine Griebel will belong to my family but it seemes reasonable. I am surely not a
descendent of Cathrine but perhaps there will be an interface' between Cathrine's father
and my Griebels'. The oldest one, I can surely named is Claus Griebel (ca. 1677 - 1754). Maybe he was
born in Lütjenburg (near Plön). I know that he died in Plön and worked for Herzog Jochim Ernst. - One
branch of his familiy went to Stettin and founded a ship owner company called Rudolf Christian Gribel' or
short RCG; set up on 02.07.1773.
You can surely imagine, that I am still looking for more informations. Mostly I want to know something
more about Cathrine's father. You say on your site, that his name is Hans or Johann Griebel from
Luetkendorf. And something about Sophie Hedwig Griebel. I know that she married and had a doughter
named Sabina. I get it from your website. I also read about Cathrines second (or first) husband Peder Chr.
Pilegaard and the seven children. Do you have some more informations? Or do you know any books, where
I can read about them?
